Personal Training is for someone who takes being healthy and getting into shape seriously. It’s easy to simply join a gym, but if you don’t know what exercises to do for what you want to accomplish or how to do them properly, your results can be sabotaged, and your money, time, and determination can all be lost. Worse, you could even injure yourself.
Before we start exercising, I will meet with you and get to know you, focusing on what you want to accomplish, what roadblocks you may have encountered in the past, and what it will mean to you to accomplish your goals. I will then prepare a roadmap (exercise plan) to get you where you want to go.
Once I have prepared your plan, I will work with you one-on-one to show you the proper ways to do each exercise, as well as educate you on why this is important. I truly believe that if you understand the “why” of what you are doing, it is so much easier to stick to it and do it properly! Furthermore, I will be there to both hold you accountable to yourself and motivate you to keep going! It won’t be easy (nothing worthwhile ever is), but together, we can make it FUN and get you the results you have been wanting so much!
My ultimate goal is to not only teach you what to do and how to do it but also how to create a routine to make working out and staying healthy into a HABIT. Once you can do it automatically, you won’t need the help of a personal trainer in the future. My greatest reward is seeing someone I’ve trained down the road and seeing that they are healthy and happy!

Kristina Powell
Kristina Powell is a native Louisvillian. A former UofL Ladybird and captain/coach of the former Louisville Fire Arena Football Cheerleaders, Kristina has devoted her life to health and fitness. A 55-year-old mother of two, Kristina lives by the habits and philosophies she teaches her clients. Her core fitness elements of lifestyle, movement, and food are her keys to success, and she helps her clients adopt these habits through one major key… mindset! Since elementary school, her mantra of “If you BELIEVE it, you can ACHIEVE it!” has guided her life, and she can help put you on that same path. Truly, changing your habits will change… and transform… your life!
Kristina is certified as a Personal Trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the Athletic & Fitness Association of America (AFAA). She is a certified Health Coach through the Integrative Institute of Nutrition (IIN), and is also certified in Advanced Hormone Health, also through IIN.
